Counterfire members show the strength of solidarity on Royal Mail picket lines around the country on the first day of strike
Leytonstone
CWU members were out on the first of four days of strike action at Leytonstone delivery office this morning. Royal Mail bosses are failing to negotiate pay rises in line with inflation and have slashed terms and conditions. The strike was solid and followed at 12pm by a rally at Mount Pleasant Royal Mail Centre in Farringdon. Further strike days are planned on Wednesday 31 August and the following week on 8-9 September. Support your postie and get down to a picket line. Unity is strength.
