Trump’s executive orders give a clear indication of where he is heading in terms of racism. A state emergency is declared on the Mexican border and an assorted of violent fascists and far right figures have been released from prison.
But what about war and imperialism? In the run-up to the election, Trump claimed he would end the Ukraine war, but that now looks far from certain. A ceasefire has finally been negotiated for devastated Gaza, but Trump looks happy to let Israel off the leash in the West Bank. Moreover, what will his policies mean for the wider region and possible conflicts with Iran & China?
