A weekend of political film and speakers discussing resistance and revolution in film, the politics of fantasy, political comedy, and documentaries on austerity Britain

seeing redThe Big Screen has a powerful political legacy. From Charlie Chaplin to Ken Loach, from The Leopard to The Matrix. Through documentary film and realist drama to underground and experimental works, political struggles and radical ideas have inspired and challenged audiences all around the world.

Seeing Red, a festival of subversive cinema, will screen a selection of radical films in SOAS University, London on Saturday and Sunday the 16 & 17th November. Films and speakers will explore resistance and revolution in film, the politics of fantasy and political comedy, and screen documentaries on austerity Britain and what we can do about it.
