Join leading activists to discuss disbanding Met police on Thursday 22 June, 6:30 pm in the KT Paul room, Indian YMCA, 41 Fitzroy Square, London, W1T 6AQ

Riz Choudry is a women’s safety officer who was cuffed and left in a cell for 15 hours the night before the coronation as he was handing out rape alarms to vulnerable women in Soho.

He will be joining a panel of campaigners to call for the Met police to be disbanded a week today in central London.

‘I do not Trust the police. They have refused to apologise to us. I would say to people just be wary because the police are not your friends. I don’t like saying that.’

The panel includes Sherelle Cadogan, ASLEF BAME rep for Transport for London, Actor and activist Marlon Kameka, and writer and campaigner Shabbir Lakha from Counterfire.

The meeting is at the Indian YMCA on Windrush Day, Thursday 22 June.
