Don’t miss Tuesday’s discussion on race and class – with Kevin Ovenden
We are very pleased to be hosting a zoom event with Kevin Ovenden this Tuesday 23 May at 6.30pm.
Debate continues to rage as to the nature of racism and how best to challenge it. The idea that there is a hierarchy of racism or oppression more widely has surfaced in the Labour Party – most predominantly as a charge levelled against the Labour right in the Forde report.
Kevin Ovenden is an activist and author of a number of books including Malcom X: Socialism and Black Nationalism.
He recently wrote an excellent analysis of the recent suspension of Diane Abbott and the arguments made in her letter.
He will be discussing some of the theoretical debates on Tuesday in what is likely to be a useful and timely discussion.
Please register on Zoom now and share widely.
