Counterfire is hosting a one day event in London to discuss the massive crisis caused by Israel’s brutal assault on Gaza
Up to one million people took to the streets of London last weekend in an unprecedented act of solidarity with the people of Gaza. Our movement brought down the Home Secretary and has dramatised the need for an immediate ceasefire to stop the brutal assault by the Israeli army.
This crisis has raised huge questions about imperialism, resistance and how best to support Palestinians. Revolution! is a one-day event, organised by Counterfire, that will bring the movement together to answer these questions and to discuss how best to organise resistance.
Sessions include:
- Imperialism, Palestine and the Middle East
- The Palestine movement, the Tories and the state
- The strike wave, Labourism and the next general election
- United front: how the anti-war movement was built
- What do we say about the Palestinian resistance?
- Which way forward for the left?
Sunday 26 November, 12-5.30pm, SOAS, Thornhaugh Street, London WC1H 0XG.
You can get more information and buy tickets here.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Before you go
The ongoing genocide in Gaza, Starmer’s austerity and the danger of a resurgent far right demonstrate the urgent need for socialist organisation and ideas. Counterfire has been central to the Palestine revolt and we are committed to building mass, united movements of resistance. Become a member today and join the fightback.
