We are very excited to be involved in the opening of a new space for the left in central London called Firebox.
Firebox is a café, a meeting space and a media centre. It is a space for political meetings, film showings, book launches and a resource for the wider movement. It will also host exhibitions, performances, readings, music and other events.
The first events are already taking place, with more in the pipeline.
Firebox supporters have made generous financial contributions and we are grateful to everyone who has donated. But we still need to raise a further ₤5,000 to ensure the space is fully equipped in time for the official opening on 6th October.
Firebox can become this generation’s International Club – led by the legendary Sylvia Pankhurst in her day – a point of departure for a lifetime of radical engagement, a meeting point for the left, a starting point for a new left.
