Comedian Josie Long, artist Yinka Shonibare and the campaign organisation War on Want have already been confirmed as taking part in the pub-table style discussion which will be at the heart of the event.

Fashion on Trial is a fancy dress event and will be held at the fantastic Resistance Gallery with speed debating, discussion, entertainment and art. Fancy dress is optional but there will be a prize for the most creative costume!

Bring along your old clothes to swap or have them remade into chic new items by our resident textiles artists. The event is being held right after London Fashion Week and promises to cross examine the impact the industry has on our lives, from our identities to sweat shop labour and the possibilities that the future holds.
